Description

The mounted photograph (possibly a salt print) features a black and white image of a seated Abraham Lincoln. President Lincoln sits with his proper right leg crossed over his left and with his hands folded in his lap. To his proper left side, a book rests on a small table. The portrait was taken on 9 August 1863 by Alexander Gardner in Washington D. C. [Ref: O-73.]
