Description

This print features a color, full-length portrait of Abraham Lincoln. In the portrait, Lincoln stands next to a table with his proper right hand at his waist while his proper left hand rests on a table. On the table are papers, a quill, and ink. The print is a composite image of Lincoln's head on John C. Calhoun's body and was created by William pate using Alexander Ritchie's 1852 mezzotint engraving of Calhoun and Anthony Berger's 1864 photograph of Lincoln.
