Lincoln Is Elected President (from the Lincoln Coins & Stamps 1909-1958 Collection)
The Lincoln Is Elected President coins are a part of a larger fifty-coin set, The Lincoln Coins & Stamps 1909-1958. In this subset, five Lincoln Cents are displayed in a paper card mount. The dates include 1929, 1930, 1931, 1932, and 1933. The subset also includes an October 20, 1938 commemorative stamp, which features an illustration of a Lincoln bust from the Senate Gallery of the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The paper card mount's recto also contains biographical information about the 1860 Presidential Election as well as a color illustration of Portrait of Abraham Lincoln. The biographical information continues on the card's verso along with excerpts from Lincoln's first inaugural speech, delivered on Monday, March 4, 1861. The paper mount is encased in a plastic sleeve that is enclosed in a coin holder binder.
