This is an illustrated portrait of the tenth president, John Tyler, in a dark suit, seated facing the right. "eng by H. B. Hall Jr. New York" is typed just below the illustration and "John Tyler" is signed at the bottom. D. Appleton and Co. is typed beneath the signature. The illustration is within volume one of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
