Hancock is depicted as seated and waring a dark, double-breasted military uniform with shoulder boards and a high collar. The artist and photographer are named directly below the illustration and Hancock's signature is depicted near the bottom of the page. This illustration is from volume seven, of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
