This black and white illustration is a map of Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico with indications of naval paths during the Civil War. The key included all the names of the ships and indications for their paths. A note about the map and it's subject is below the map. The illustration is from pages 228-229 of volume nine of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
