    This handwritten letter, dated December 27, 1948, is written from Bernhardt Wall to Stewart McClelland. The letter describes Well's recent travels and having been a guest at the Lincoln Fellowship luncheon in Gettysburg. Included on the P. S. page is an image of a dirt mound with the New Year's wishes, " From us to you go forth our best wishes for a happy 1949 Bernhardt Wall Doris Turbet Wall Jas. Webster Moray Sierra Madre Calif." The letter is on bright red paper.

    This typed letter, dated September 16, 1944, is written from Bernhardt Wall to Stewart McClelland. The letter informs McClelland that three cartons are being shipped to him and reminds him that "these are war babies, put together with all kinds of paper, boards, etc." A handwritten note up the left edge of the letter informs him that "Doris printed and pasted in the bookplates." The letter is signed "Doris and Barney".

    This handwritten letter, dated July 13, 1939, is written from Bernhardt Wall in Lime Connecticut to Stewart McClelland. The letter discusses his recent trip to a Spanish War veterans encampment and his wish to travel with Dr. McClelland and their other friends. The letter goes on to discuss the "diplomas" and their reception. Included with the letter is a note addressed "To My Patrons and Friends" describing Wall's recent honors in the recognition of his work in the "Field of Lincolniana."

    This handwritten letter, dated Jun 22, 1929 is written from Bernhardt Wall to Stewart McClelland. The letter describes Wall's attempts at procuring his place as the artist for the "Lincoln portrait on the diploma", and discusses what he's doing to prepare for the job. The one page letter is on yellow paper and an illustration of a young boy staring up at a monument of a man with a dog at his feet is included. The illustration is captioned "Eighth Judicial District Shrine Marking Roade Paced by Lincoln." Written below the illustration is "This wasn't used BW".
