Description

This biography of Lincoln was the first in a projected series of inspirational exemplary biographies published for the working class. As indicated on the front wrapper and half-title, the series ' ""Obreros Ilustres"" or ""Illustrious Workers"" was a joint project of Corchado and Jose Feliu, noted Catalan journalist and author. The series was never realized, and subsequent biographies never appeared. It is stiking evidence of Lincoln's international stature as an inspirational figure, that Corchado and Feliu would choose him to initiate their series.
