Council of War
Praised by Robert Todd Lincoln as the most lifelike portrait of his father in sculpture, The Council of War features President Abraham Lincoln, Secretary of War Edwin M. Stanton, and General Ulysses S. Grant weighing in on the Civil War. The sculpture has three variants. In this variant, Stanton wipes his glasses behind Lincoln's head.
