This black and white postcard features a naval ship with sailors on deck leaving the harbor. Other small boats are near or around the ship and an open bridge and buildings are seen in the background. The title along the bottom of card reads "Brest. --Port Militaire. --Sortie du croiseur << Montcalm >>. <>, -- Departing of cruiser << Montcalm >>. --L.L. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a Carte Postale (postcard) and provides indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement.
