Description

This color cartoon postcard features two sailors on the deck of a ship with a gun barrel over head. The sailor on the left is rubbing laundry on a washboard in a bucket that is sitting on a stool while the sailor on the right is holding a mop with a mop bucket to his right. Puddles of water are depicted on the deck floor, deck railing is seen behind the sailors, and ship is depicted in the open water in the distance behind them. The caption at the bottom of the card reads "I'm sick and tired of washing--From now on I'm sending all my things to the laundry!" The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides publisher information as well as indication for correspondence and postage stamp placement.
