This sepia toned picture postcards features a large naval ship stranded on a shoal. The ship features four funnels/stacks in the center with no smoke or steam emitted. The title along the bottom left of the card reads "The U. S. S. Milwaukee stranded on a shoal off Eureka, Cal." and photographer and copyright information is in the lower right of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for postage stamp placement.
