Description

This color postcard features sailors in navy blue uniforms participating in a sword or fencing exercise on the deck of a naval ship. The title in small print in the lower right corner of the card reads "Blue Jackets at Sword Exercise." Copyright information is just above the title. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides designation for correspondence, postmark, and address. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Masonville, Iowa, Aril 8. The year is obscured. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. Reva Woolbridge in Edgewood, Iowa.
