Description

This color postcard features a man clinging to debris in the middle of the water while a dark ship comes to his aid in the background. The title at the bottom of the card is in German and reads "Alles ihm befehle, Hilft Er doch so gern." and roughly translates to "All commands him, He likes to help." There are three Stars of David in the bottom corners of the card near the title. The back of the German postcard is addressed to Mrs. Hugh M. Reed in Niagara Falls, New York. "Harre meine Seele" (roughly translated to "Wait for my soul.") is in the upper left corner and the photographer's name is found along the left edge of the card.
