Description

This color postcard features a naval cruiser with four funnels/stacks in the center on the open water. The title along the top of the card reads "1285--U. S. Armored Cruiser "Tennessee." 750 Officers and men. Length 502 feet. Main Battery 20 guns." The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence and address placement. A green one cent postage stamp is placed sideways in the upper right corner. The card is postmarked twice--once for Los Angeles, California May 11, 1908 and once in La Farge, Wisconsin May 15, 1908. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Miss Alveda Sandigerd in La Farge, Wisconsin.
