Description

This black and white picture postcard features a group of six men covered in black soot while working in the engine room of a ship. The man on the right edge has a pipe in his mouth and there is a bright light that looks like fire on the left. Various pieces of equipment are also visible. The title in the lower left of the card reads "The Black gang at work" and copyright/photographer information is in the lower left of the card. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for correspondence, address, and postage stamp placement.
