In this handwritten promissory note, Matilda A. Webb promises to repay Jason Niles five hundred and one dollars and eighteen cents within twelve months from the date on the note, February 15, 1873. The loan is noted as being for pay for land and education for children. A receipt noting that Webb had repaid four hundred and seventy-five dollars is included with the note.
