Description

In this deed of trust, dated April 18, 1874, Byrd P Galloway agrees to repay W. J. Hammond two hundred and fifty dollars by January 1, 1875, as stated in a promissory note, or he forfeits a certain parcel of land in Attala County, Mississippi to W. J. Hammond. The deed of trust was signed by B. P. Galloway and witnessed by W. V. Davis, the Attala County Chancery Court Clerk. The deed was filed for Record on April 28, 1874 . A note written across the bottom of the first page states that the deed was sold to John A Combott on February 8, 1875 for four hundred dollars.
