Description

In this handwritten letter, dated February 26, 1887, T. O. Connor writes to Mississippi Register, Jason D. Stewart and Mississippi Receiver, Wallace M. Lanrin on behalf of a farmer named Isaac S. Rono of Kosciusko, Mississippi for advice on how Rono's land is registered. Rono wished to register as a residence with an adjoining farm but it was, instead, registered as a homestead. Connor asks the men addressed what options or recourse are available to Rono.
