In this handwritten receipt, dated September 17, 1888, S. L. Dodd, documents the receipt from R. B. Webb, Special Master and Commissioner, sixty-three dollars and fifty-eight cents, the distributive shares for D. L. Dodd, Mrs. Bettie Alston, M. L. Dodd, Laura league, Rella D. Wilson, and W. W. Dodd in the case of Mrs. M. L. Dodd et al. versus SFB and J. L. Green in the Chancery Court of Attala County, Mississippi for the September 1888 term. Each recipient listed received ten dollars and fifty-eight cents each.
