In this promissory note, dated September 15, 1934, E. L. Ray and Annie Webb Ray promise to pay James T. Crawley one thousand, five hundred and ninety dollars with six percent interest, by or before September 15, 1935. A note written diagonally across the left of the note declares the not by check, September 4, 1935 with James Crawley's signature beneath it.
