Description

In this promissory note, D. C. and Dora Atwood promise to pay E. L. Ray six hundred and fifty-nine dollars and forty-eight cents by May 8, 1831. A statement typed near the bottom of the note states that the note is secured by a second deed of trust executed by the Atwoods on lands and personal property to Ray. An illustration of Thaddeus Kosciuszko is in the upper left corner of the note.
