This article about the war in 1898 consists of a letter written by Arthur L. Webb and given to the newspaper by E. L. Ray. The letter contains some of Webb's experiences while fighting in the Spanish-American War of 1898 and the newspaper published it in hopes of inspiring American spirit during the "current" war on the battlefields of France during World War I.
