Description
This newspaper photograph shows a group of people gathered around a headstone that reads "Ray" with a United States flag and a small wreath that bears a ribbon that reads "Lest We Forget" is placed beside the flag. The caption of the photograph states that a graveside ceremony was conducted honoring the late Dr. Robert Ray who died in 1965. The caption shares his military career during World War II and states that the Stonestreet-Rone Veterans of Foreign Wars Post and its auxiliary planned the memorial. The wreath was placed by Rehtta Ray Sanders who was delivered by and named after Dr. Ray.
