Description

In this handwritten letter, dated July 31, 1920, Leighton W. Ray writes to his parents Anna (Annie) Webb Ray and Emmett L. Ray asking for their opinion on whether or not he should take an extra year of medical school to obtain a master's degree in Pathology upon the advice of the head of the Pathology Department. He states the pros and the cons and tells them all the ways he's researched the idea. He goes on to tell them about his grades for the term and asks after other family. There appears to be a page missing from the letter between pages eleven and twelve.
