Description
In this handwritten letter, dated October 2, 1921, Clayton Webb writes from Texas to his sister, Annie "Nancy" Webb Ray in Kosciusko, Mississippi to let her know that he is still I Cameron, Texas and expects to be home in about two weeks. He goes on to talk about his friendship with the Baskin family and though he'd rather be at home with his chickens he knows they are in good hands. He ends by saying that should his farm go belly up, the Baskins would give him a job in their store. The letter is written on B. J. Baskin and Sons General Merchandise stationary. An envelope addressed to Mrs. Annie Ray and postmarked Cameron, Texas, October 2, 1921 is included.
