Description
In this handwritten letter, dated February 15, 1923, Clayton Webb writes from Texas to his sister, Annie "Nancy" Webb Ray in Kosciusko, Mississippi to tell her about the progress of his chicken farm and how the terrible weather is affecting things. He goes on to speculate on the sheriff's race back home and how it will come down to be between Annie's husband, Emmett and a man named Dave Love. He is in full support of Emmett and wants Emmett to have anything he goes after. An envelope addressed to Mrs. Annie Ray and postmarked Sylvester, Texas, February 17, 1923 is included.
