Description

In this handwritten letter, dated May 14, 1923, Clayton Webb writes from Texas to his sister, Annie "Nancy" Webb Ray in Kosciusko, Mississippi to let her know he'd received the preserves she sent him and continues by telling her about fishing and how his chickens come first so much so that he rarely gets to go. He describes the ages and types of chicken he has and what his plans are. He goes on to discuss her sons Leighton and Robert and their education and career prospects and teases her about her daughter writing "Old Dud Sneed." An envelope addressed to Mrs. Annie Ray and postmarked May 14, 1923 is included.
