Description
In this handwritten letter Robert Webb writes from Opelousas, Louisiana to his wife, Matilda to let her know that he and his travel companions decided to stay another night due to the bad weather. He describes the town and the houses there and how pleased he is with the county. He goes on to discuss an acquaintance they know there and how he has served the community. He concludes by stating that he would rather bring his boys here to farm rather than proceed to Texas.
