The Kind medal is a part of a twelve-medal collection designed by Norman Rockwell. On the medal's obverse, a Boy Scout is shown in uniform staring into the face of a panting dog. The Scout holds the dog's front legs in his hands. . On the reverse, the Boy Scouts of America logo is pictured above the inscriptions.
