Creator Role

photographer artist engraver

Description

The engraving features a seated portrait of Abraham Lincoln. Around him, a decorative border featuring other images appears. These consist of a man and woman dancing beside a covered wagon, books, African-American individuals walking through a forest, and traditional Greek figures in the bottom two corners. The engraving is predominantly in black and white, but has some color tinting. It appears to have been trimmed at the edges and mounted to an additional piece of paper. It is surrounded by a green border and is enclosed in a black and gold wooden frame.
