Portrait of Alexander III of Russia in uniform, Emperor of Russia
Biography
Alexander III became the Emperor of Russia after his father Czar Alexander II of Russia. He also ruled as the King of Poland and Prince of Finland. His reign lasted from 1881-1894. General Grant met with Alexander III, at that time the Crown Prince of Russia, as well as the Czar and the Prince Gorchakov at a reception in St. Petersburg.
