Biography

Edith Villiers married Lord Robert Bulwer-Lytton in 1864. She accompanied her husband to India where he served as Viceroy from 1876-1880. Mrs. Grant reported in her memoirs of Lady Lytton’s charm and beauty. She and General Grant met the Lyttons in Calcutta during their visit to India.
