This postcard features a color illustration of a group of small aircraft parked on the air field at Jackson airport in Jackson, Mississippi. A small airplane hanger is depicted on the right and people are depicted walking on the or toward the airfield. The title of the card is printed along the top left of the image. The back of the postcard is addressed to Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Shamburger in Kokomo, Mississippi. The card is postmarked McComb, Miss., July 2, 1931 and a red, 2 cent George Washington postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. Friday Morn. Dearest Mama and Papa, O. B. And I got here yesterday eve about 23 oclock am having a nice time wish you all were here I think U. B. is going up to wesson this afternoon on the bus. He and Uncle Mark are in town now. The radio is playing but the stodio is bad. I hope to see you in wesson Sunday at the birthday so Jeosye can go back with you uncl Marck said we would sure go It is nearing eleven oclock so will close before Postman comes your son Hugh. [sic]
