This postcard features a color illustration of the side view of New Albany High School in New Albany, Mississippi, a two story building with a tower at the center of the front of the building. Trees are depicted in front of and around the building. The title of the card is printed along the bottom edge of the card. The back of the card is addressed to Miss Ivy Bell Feck in San Antonio, Texas. The date on the postmark, August 8, 1924, is the only clearly readable portion and a green, on cent Benjamin Franklin postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]
Dear Ivy,--Your letter came the day before we left Sparta. Didn't have a chance to write. Left Wed. morning. Hope to be on home the first of next week. We've run into rain this afternoon and it has delayed us home. G joins me in love for youbth. Meda Thurs. [sic]
