This color postcard features a downtown street with several early twentieth century cars parked on either side of the street. The title along the top of the card reads "Main Street Looking North, Hattiesburg, Miss.--9" The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides creator information. A green one cent postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi, April 16, 1934. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. E. P. Golden in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Hattiesburg, Miss. Box 95, My Dear Mrs. Golden: Your welcome card was forwarded here, [and] that I would like you know I any still wanting for that nice fat letter from you. Hope you are o.k. Youre friend, Mrs. C. J. Holmes
