This color postcard features a row of uniformed men lined up with tents behind them and weapons in front of them. The title along the top reads "U. S. National Guard--Camp Shelby, Miss." A secondary title in the lower left corner reads "A Company Street at the Encampment". The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides indication for address placement. Two green one cent postage stamps are placed in the upper right corner and the card is postmarked Hattiesburg, Mississippi December 12, 1918. The card is inscribed and is addressed to Mrs. F. Donjak
What's the news at home? Guess we will be there anyway by Christmas. James is anxious to see the boys. How is Mr. Donjak? Love Cecile
