Wilemon is shown presenting a check for $1,000 to Arthur Davis (second from left), director of the MSU Development Foundation, as an initial payment on Patrons of Excellence membership in the Foundation. Presentation of the check took place in the Bank of Mississippi in Tupelo, and the bank's top officials--J. C. Whitehead, Jr., (right) and John W. Rial, executive vice president (left) are shown with Miss Wilemon and Mr. Davis.
