Description

Seated portrait of Andrew Johnson, Vice President to Abraham Lincoln during his second term. Johnson became President after Lincoln was assassinated. In the portrait, Johnson is seated with his body slightly turned to his proper right. His hands rest in his lap, and he looks directly into the camera.
