Description

The bronze commemorative medal depicts a bust image of Josiah Willard Gibbs (a theoretical physicist). The reverse features an image of a seated man looking up at the sun. In his proper right hand he holds a set of papers. His proper left holds a quill. A bottle rests in front of him.
