Description

The reproduction print features a letter written by Abraham Lincoln to General John J. Hardin in recommendation of Dr. F.A. McNeil for service in the Mexican War. On the item's recto is a facsimile print of the letter's back. A reprint of an article from the 14 February 1933 edition of the Kansas City Times is featured on the far right of the item. To the far left is brief documentary information regarding the dedication of the reconstruction of Lincoln's New Salem State Historic Site.
