Description

The image depicts the city just two days after the Great Chicago Fire erupted. Pictured are piles of rubble that were once buildings. It is estimated that more than $200,000,000 worth of damage was done; more tragically, some 90,000 people were displaced because of the fire and approximately 300 people perished in the flames.
