Description
Steel engraving: ""Attack of the 'Monitor' on the 'Merrimack'."" In the foreground, there is a depiction of the ocean or sea. In the center of the image, there are two metal ships with smoke coming out of each. The first is small and colored white. The small ship has an American flag waving from the top. The second ship is considerably larger and darker. In the background, there is a smaller sail boat depicted.
