Description
The square plaque depicts an engraving of Abraham Lincoln seated on a stone with a book in his proper left hand and his proper right hand resting on a dog. This image is a reproduction of a sculpture, known as Lincoln Reading the Life of George Washington by Dr. Avard Fairbanks. The sculpture was chosen as the Lincoln National Reinsurance President's Trophy. The plaque's reverse features documentary information regarding the trophy and statue.
