Description
The object is an unused book jacket for The Lincoln Assassination Riddle, edited by Frank J. Williams and Michael Burkhimer. The predominant colors are maroon, cream, yellow, red, and black. The front panel features an image of John Wilkes Booth with Satan standing at his shoulder (Satan Tempting Booth to the Murder of the President by John L. Magee). The book's title and editors are also on the front panel. The front flap features information regarding the book's contents. The back panel contains various reviews and publication information, while the back flap contains editor, publisher, and front cover information. The spine contains the title and editors' last names. A duplicate copy is also included in the collection as well as documentary information.
