The object is a miniature oval portrait of Abraham Lincoln by William A. Patterson entitled Portrait of Abraham Lincoln; It is painted on ivory and displayed in a gold frame; It also has an accompanying black leather case and black slip case; It is made after an 1860 photo by Alexander Hesler
