Description

The Lincoln's Log Cabin Boyhood coins are a part of a larger fifty-coin set, The Lincoln Coins & Stamps 1909-1958. In this subset, five Lincoln Cents are displayed in a paper card mount. The dates include 1909, 1910, 1911, 1912, and 1913. The subset also includes a February 12, 1909 commemorative stamp, which features the image of a statue of Lincoln by Augustus Saint-Guadens. The paper card mount's recto also contains biographical information about Abraham Lincoln's formative years as well as a color illustration, Young Lincoln Reading by the Fire. The biographical information continues on the card's verso along with excerpts from Albert J. Beveridge's work Abraham Lincoln, 1809-1858. The paper mount is encased in a plastic sleeve that is enclosed in a coin holder binder.
