Description

The stereograph contains a black and white image of Sears, Roebuck & Co.'s Composing Room, where printers (mostly men) are shown setting the type for printing catalogues. Sears, Roebuck and Company began conducting mail order operations at the turn of the twentieth century. The image is mounted on a cream-colored paper card mount with documentary information about the composing room on the card's reverse.
