The CDV features a photograph of a lithograph depicting a standing portrait of General Ambrose Burnside, an Union Army general in the United States Civil War. In the image, Burnside stands looking to his proper right. His proper right arm rests on the back of a horse while his proper left hand rests on the hilt of his sword.
