Description
The Civil War-era carte de visite features a photograph of a cartoon depicting James Gordon Bennett of the New York Herald. In the cartoon, Bennett holds an umbrella beneath his proper right arm. In his hands he holds a newspaper. On the CDV's back, a blue two-cent Washington stamp is affixed.
